War is not the answer. Humanity must knowledge this given the evolution of weapons and war. But “Peace” is not the answer either. Human security based on ‘Liberty and Justice for all’ is.
Some parties and their followers believe in "Peace through strength’. WMD did ensure there was not another World War for 70 years (excluding the Global War on Terrorism). But now WMD is being used as blackmail in waging a hot war in Ukraine. And terrorizing the population with his military assets as its tactic.
Putin’s seeks peace in the slaughter of Ukrainians and ending their freedom to choose their own leader. Putin's peace depends on everyone capitulating to this slaughter of thousands of innocent people until they come under his rule.
The only way to stop a bad man with a powerful army and nuclear weapons is a virtuous nation with a courageous leader using its freedom and military assets to ensure Ukraine's protection. We must assist them in building an iron dome. And if Putin persists break away from traditional diplomacy and international law that essentially protects national sovereignty above human rights or the environment. Offering Ukraine nuclear weapons so MAD can ensure their survival is out of the question.
But if we truly believe Ukraine is an independent country and Ukrainian voters have chosen its political leader there is a non-violent alternative to offer Putin to end these war crimes.
President Biden could do what President Zelenskyy requested. "Be the leader of peace". He could do this by sending an open communication to Putin and all the world leaders with his plan to personally deliver 1000 stinger missiles in Airforce One to the Ukrainian Freedom fighters in Kyiv with the assistance of the 82nd Airborne division. Perhaps the House or Senate leader of the Republican party would like to demonstrate their courage and love of freedom by joining him in the flight of mercy.
And if Biden or any Americans are killed in our "special military operation" approval has already been passed by Congress (assuming they are also truel freedom lovers) that the US would launch an equivalent response in Moscow delivered with non-nuclear cruise missiles to Putin’s suspected location. And this will continue until he decides to halt his special operations in Ukraine. This leaves the threat of escalation to MAD on Putin and his legacy. Biden and Putin could both be seen as heroes who saved the world along with protecting Putin's mistress and his bloodline hiding in Switzerland. It would need to come with a promise that Putin would not be tried for war crimes and maybe a few other perks.
If both the US and Russian federations agreed on this 'peace through justice' concept. It might be possible for all the world's governments to agree on a similar form of justice. Where the protection of human rights and the environment is put ahead of the protection of a nation's right to do whatever it pleases, whenever it pleases, to whomever it wants within its own borders. And do it anywhere around the world if they have nuclear weapons.
This is the current global paradigm we swim in without recognizing the lethal flaw with nations allowed to put their own special interests above the interests of future generations in every nation.
Without changing this fundamental flaw in global governance lacking justice and accountability, we have only postponed MAD and many other ways that our unsustainable, short-term thinking, and other harmful trends will inevitably curtail human freedom and security for all.
This is the way our species has a chance of getting beyond the certain cataclysmic end of the accelerating evolution of weapons, war, pathogens, and environmental degradations.
It's either global security, liberty, and justice for all…or nobody!
